God's Work. Our Hands. ELCA weekend of service - September 12-13

Holy Trinity is partnering with LSSI (Lutheran Social Services of Illinois) on two service projects for God's Work. Our Hands., the ELCA annual day of service. 

Saturday, September 12 + 9am - Noon: Garden cleanup at Walsh Sober Living Home. Walsh provides apartments, support, and mentorship for individuals in recovery. Volunteers will remove shrubs and pavers, relocate plants, and plant new seasonal flowers. (6117 N Hamilton Ave). 

Sunday, September 13 + Following worship at HTLakeview: Assemble hygiene kits for kids. LSSI provides mental health support to children and adolescents in school-based settings through the Step Up program. Volunteers will assemble basic hygiene kits that will be distributed to children ages 6+. Materials for the hygiene kits will be collected until September 13.
