As we approach Holy Trinity’s 150th Anniversary Weekend on May 4-5, we are launching a special campaign between now and May: $150,000 for 150 years.
In gratitude for 150 years of vibrant ministry in an ever-changing world, we invite you to consider participating in this special anniversary campaign.
$150,000 for 150 years will support these special initiatives at Holy Trinity:
Planning for the future. Strategic planning will help clarify priorities for the coming years as we face the future with faith and trust in God’s providence.
Supporting our community. A portion will go toward our endowment fund which disburses yearly grants to ministry partners that address social justice issues and align with our mission, such as Shift: Englewood, Red Line Service, Silk Road Rising, and Hyde Park Interfaith Council.
Maintaining our building. As good stewards of our building, a portion of the funds raised will go toward our reserve fund as we anticipate unexpected repairs (such as water damage from a torrential rain last year) and a new heating system for our sanctuary in the coming years.
Repairing society. As part of Holy Trinity’s commitment to antiracism, a portion will go toward our emerging reparations commitment. Since our understanding of reparations involves more than money, the reparations task force will involve the congregation in further discernment as we seek ministry partners in Chicago.
Celebrating our anniversary. A musical revue and anniversary banquet are two of the special occasions that will bring our community together to mark this milestone!
